“My son was born several weeks early after a traumatic birth and a long stay in the NICU. I really needed a something to destress with. I turned to Shaan and Saagar like caring older brothers to make me laugh during my traumatic time. As I cradled my 3lb son, I found joy through these two charismatic hosts. I laughed through my tears and used these voices to keep myself above water. As time passed I would spend my extended hours nursing watching movies along side the podcast and falling in love with my favourites again. I loved hearing the Muslim perspective to film that is often ignored in Indian cinema. As a Canadian born desi I felt so seen by the hosts and their sentiments. I’m sad it’s over because I think there’s so much to unpack in Bollywood movies today! Like the Bollywood Boyz I too live in 90s nostalgia so I’ll be back to listen to these episodes again and again. Thank you Shaan and Saagar for bringing light to my life during my toughest trials. My baby made it through and as listen to your last episode I’m cradling him and writing this review.
