Description
Hour 1 Boomer is back from Canada where his men’s adult hockey team won their tournament. Hopefully that means the Rangers will do the same. We talked about the Rangers win over the Capitals and the Knicks beating the Sixers on Saturday. Boomer didn’t like the officiating in the Rangers game (shocker), and wonders why Precious Achiuwa didn’t get into the game when he was a key player during the season. Gio said they won the game, he trusts the coach, so he doesn’t care who’s in the game. Gio said he’s not worried about having a game 6 between the Rangers and Capitals. Gio called it ‘light work’ for the Rangers. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the highlights from the Rangers win over the Capitals. The Yankees beat the Rays and Verdugo had such a good day that Suzyn was barking. The Yankees presented John Sterling with an 83” TV. The Mets won another series, but they lost in L.A. yesterday. Game 2 of the Knicks/Sixers is tonight and Jalen Brunson talked about having to play better. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs yesterday. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Boomer’s trip to Canada.  Hour 2 Knicks fans took to the streets to celebrate their win over the Sixers on Saturday night. We are starting an amazing sports week with the Knicks, Rangers, Islanders and the NFL draft on Thursday. Antonio Brown claims Justin Herbert is going to be traded to the Vikings. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds from yesterday’s Rangers win over the Capitals. The Yankees beat the Rays yesterday after getting shut out Saturday. Yankees fans booed Aaron Judge after 4 strikeouts Saturday. John Sterling said he retired because of the commute. A foul ball hit Pat McCarthy in the booth at the Mets game. The Mets lost 10-0 yesterday but took the series from the Dodgers. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs. In the final segment of the hour, Gio drunk dialed Islanders owner Jon Ledecky to wish him luck in the series.  Hour 3 Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez is out until at least June as he needs surgery on a ligament in his thumb. Boomer liked seeing Juan Soto and some of his Yankees teammates at the Knicks game. Boomer said if the Yankees win the World Series Juan Soto isn’t going anywhere. Gio said it will all come down to money, not going to the World Series or not. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds of yesterday’s Rangers win over the Capitals. Patrick Roy talked about the Islanders dropping game 1 to the Hurricanes. The Yankees beat the Rays 5-4 as Alex Verdugo had a big day. The Mets lost 10-0 but took the series from the Dodgers. Jerry went around the NBA playoffs. In the final segment of the hour, we heard from our caller from last week who was bringing his third date to the Rangers playoff game. He said he is the newly elected mayor of ‘pound town’. Boomer has the Larry Johnson 4-point play ball, but Boomer needed to get it signed by Larry in order to auction it off. Boomer asked Wally to take the ball and get it signed when he saw Larry. The ball is now lost and it’s Wally’s fault.  Hour 4 We reached out to Wally but he did not want to go on air to talk about losing the Larry Johnson 4-point ball. Luckily Boomer did get the ball insured before it was lost. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with a preview of Knicks/Sixers tonight. The Moment of The Day involves an update to the guy who was bringing a third date to the Rangers playoff game. In the final segment of the show, Gio may get to meet Dua Lipa this week.
