Description
Happy 37th birthday to WFAN! The Mets dropped their series to the Astros and they have a bullpen problem right now with Edwin Diaz serving his suspension. Many teams have bullpen problems and there are only so many bullpen guys you can get at the trade deadline. We also talked about Pete Alonso. Gio doesn’t think he will be traded at the deadline, but he doesn’t think he will be a Met next year. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first we talked about Akshay Bhatia choking yesterday while Gio was at his daughter’s dance recital. Jerry started with the Yankees beating the Blue Jays yesterday. Judge hit his 31st HR of the season. Juan Soto hurt himself Friday night but wanted to be in the lineup on Sunday. Gerrit Cole pitched well. Wyatt Langford hit for the cycle for the Texas Rangers last night. In the final segment of the hour, there was a charity kickball game that Infinity Sports Network was involved in. Morning show producer EJ Stewart blew out his knee and had to go to the hospital. This is why Gio doesn’t play sports. This is the best week of the Summer, and now EJ has a blown out knee for the rest of the Summer.
