“Hey guys! Love the show and love your perspective. I listen to a few Bravo inspired podcasts to get different views on the same thing. I have to respond to your Summer House recap, don’t want to but actually HAVE to. I understand your frustration with Lindsay’s constant acccusations about Carl’s sobriety. You are correct that she is absolutely not talking about weed. It’s obvious and Carl should be standing up for himself about that because he also knows what she’s talking about. He was right in calling off the wedding. They are not right for each other, cannot make it, and just what we’ve seen Lindsay put him thru could cause the strongest person to relapse. Obvi, he needs to put himself first (that’s actually my philosophy for everyone). I want us all to never forget, despite his best efforts of setting himself up for a victim role, that Carl has a very real track record of treating women very badly. We’ve seen it since season 1, which means he’s probably sucked at relationships his whole life. Getting sober does not make you an automatic good person, it only makes you more sober. Basically, the problems in their relationship are a culmination of bad behavior on both of their parts. I was cheering for them! I thought they had both made the necessary changes within themselves and FOR themselves to be able to be good to one another. I don’t think Carl can be in a relationship with anyone who drinks and Lindsay can’t be with a recovering addict.”
