“Thank you , I have been a victim of a covert narcissist for the past 18 years . I too struggle with the label of “victim” is a slippery slope . On the one hand is necessary to label your abuser as an abuser, and yourself as a victim in order to see with clarity the truth of your situation . The trick I have found is ounce you recognize the abusive for what it is , then its time to shed the victim label, And move forward full throttle. I cant believe it took me this long . No one ever told me , hey your husband may be a covert narcissist, but in reality , who would have known ? That is the nature of the beast , covert/ passive aggressive manipulation , is the name of the game. Anyways, here we are . I thank you, all the other wonderful souls out there, shining light , and helping make sense of an otherwise senseless situation ( for lack of a better word) .
