The Philadelphia Flyers split their trip to Florida, beating the Panthers in Sunrise for the biggest win of the season, but then 48 hours later had their worst showing of the year, falling 7-0 in Tampa to the Lightning. Halfway through the first period of the Tampa Bay Debacle, head coach John Tortorella got thrown out by referee Wes McCauley, and has subsequently been suspended for 2 games.
