Broken Harts in a broken society
In an era of relentless self-promotion frequently through strategically filtered and meticulously curated social media feeds, this tragedy shines a light on several systemic flaws in society. We see how con-artists use and manipulate existing societal flaws to their own advantage, they do not create these flaws. This tragedy which ultimately cost 6 children their lives unfolded over a decade, adeptly facilitated by systemic racism and an artfully engineered social media profile. It left nearly everyone in it’s wake shocked and surprised, unable to reconcile what they had believed with what actually transpired. Broken Harts could just as easily and aptly be titled ‘Broken Society’.
