Empathy Overload
This podcast was well done, and overall I enjoyed the production. However, I felt the reporters spent waaaay too much time empathizing with the parents and attempting to understand where they were coming from. I can understand trying to understand them to an extent, but it was to the point of making excuses for their behavior. What about the kids? What about all the abuse they suffered? What about the evil they lived through??? These poor kids died and we’re left empathizing with murderous abusive parents? Hm. That’s not right. If you truly care about justice, you won’t enjoy this podcast.
