Where is the actual evidence?
I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and there is something off about this one. I am three episodes in and all I hear is a lot of hearsay and a bunch of Facebook posts. Where are the interviews with people with actual credentials like a cop or a lawyer or doctor. I understand in true crime podcasts they have interviews with an array of people such as a co worker from 5 years ago. But it’s usually mixed with interviews with good sources as well. Or recordings of something that provide some type of substantial evidence. Not mixed with more interviews with unreliable sources or endless Facebook posts that is made public. What is the actual investigation these “journalists” are doing. Three episodes in and they casually mention there have been reports to the police of child abuse but they have not given any information other then a short account of a neighbor hearing it from one of the kids. That is huge. Why are you not discussing it further? Nothing from the police or anything? Also, it was only mentioned once, we haven’t heard it in two episodes. All we hear is this narrative about these women were racists, child abusing, and obsessed with the idea of making the public think they have the perfect life. After three episodes the only thing you have to show is Jenn’s obsession of her image rather than the racist or child abuse claims. I care more about the racist/ child abuse claims. Not to mention the one time, seriously the only time, you mention one of the mothers killed the entire family and possibly herself by driving over a cliff. Murder suicide possibility and you have no discussion of mental health? What I am hearing is just a bunch of fluff so you can fill up a season worth of episodes. Your claims and narrative are weak.I am disappointed.

More reviews of Broken Harts
This might be the show I look forward to the most right now. The story is dark, twisted, sad, and important. As the hosts point out in episode 1, this story seemed to disappear from the media pretty quickly after it was first reported, probably because it didn’t fit any neat stereotypes or...Read full review »
