“This story struck me when I first saw it in the news and couldn’t comprehend how and why. Hearing some backstory just made it more tragic. The follow up episode about the hearing, they talked about how the Hart women possibly felt that if we can’t have our children then no one can but I don’t think that’s the a fair representation at all. I think it was more “if we can’t continue this perfect narrative in the public eye than we’re all better off gone.” They didn’t love those children, they loved the idea of being seen as saviors”
