100: Thank You For Being A Friend

Description
It has finally happened – the BIG 100!  Yes – after almost eight (8!!!) years of classic arcade and pinball goodness, we’ve hit a podcasting milestone and we are so glad to be able to share this very special episode with our listener family.   This episode is a bit of a break from the norm – in that after our gameroom and hobby updates (which are brief this time around) we jump straight into the heart of the show and reminisce a good bit about the past 8 years under the umbrella of the BT brand and what it has meant to us.  We talk about our most memorable experiences with doing the show, discuss our top 3 favorite interviews over the past 99 episodes and even dig into our favorite show tropes that have taken on a bit of a life of their own since we first released episode 1 back in September 2013… yes… 2013…. amazing. We also discuss some thoughts for some future plans for the show, and discuss how we can better involve you in the show community.   As a special treat, we are also re-running two of our favorite interviews from the prior years.  So, if you haven’t had the time (and let’s face it… who does?!?!) to go through our entire back catlog, then you are really in for a treat, as we reach back into the archives for the following: * Brent’s interview with career game operator Jimmy Litsey (Episode #54 – April 2017) * Whitney’s interview with legendary game designer David Crane (Episode #29 – May 2015) We hope you enjoy the episode as much as we did recording it and we look forward to 100 more.  A special “thank you” goes to Grace Roberts for the new intro/outro bumpers as well!
