“This podcast has been an encouragement to me. I was a typical American student at Avondale in the early 2000’s and another American friend asked if I knew Josh or Jesse, unfortunately I was there about 12 years before hand, but anyway that is how I came to know about this podcast.
The first episode I listened to as something to do on a solo road trip. not only was I surprised by the depth of the content but also that our church does have a few millennial pastors.
I was raised by parents who didn’t grow up SDA, while they encouraged my spiritual development, I wasn’t burdened by much of the cultural faith baggage. I love how these guys help separate the wheat from the tares in our faith and culture. Many pastors are afraid to stand up to old customs and I love the courage and perspective of these episodes.
My favorite episode discusses why so many spiritual leaders are leaving their faith. I know it’s feels sad and like a huge loss for Christians but the way in which these fellas navigate through the topic with raw emotions and grace was a beautiful testament of their own characters and burden for those who have jumped off our Christian wagon.
I’m encouraged by their inclusion and compassion towards all different shapes of Christian expression. I appreciate them for their integrity and putting their necks out and unraveling many commonly held beliefs and showing the true principles behind the Bible words.
Thank goodness for these two!”
