Not for everyone…
I’ve listened to a fair few episodes of this podcast now and have been struggling to figure out who the target audience is. The conclusion I’ve come to is that it is aimed at fans of Andy Bush and his radio show rather than anyone who has more than a passing interest in the board game hobby. If you were really interested in board games and enjoyed podcasts you would have already discovered Shut Up & Sit Down, Polyhedron Collider, The Secret Cabal, etc. and wouldn’t be listening to this. Should you avoid it completely? No, occasionally there will be a featured game or interview worth dropping in for, but that’s really it. And when you do listen don’t expect the most insightful or well-researched content either. I know that some people enjoy ‘Brian’s fact of the week’ but I’ve heard him come out with some rubbish that simply wasn’t true and no one picked up on it before, during or after the recording. So, if you enjoy listening to Andy Bush and want more of him in between radio shows, this is for you. If you want an interesting and entertaining podcast about board games, look elsewhere.

Spot on - three of you perfectly balance waffle with info, just we all need in 2020. Good mix of nostalgia with new games- keep them coming.

Great dynamic between the presenters & looking forward to the new series. Have bought several games (from Zatu!!) off the back of recommendations on the podcast.

Am a board game fan and in lieu of the monthly session down the pub, our group discovered Board Game Arena soon into the first lockdown. With that in mind, in relation...Read full review »
