Episode 23: Should I hire an interior designer and what should I look for?   Have you asked the question, "Should I hire an Interior designer?" And, what should I look for? In this episode I have coffee with my assistant Heather and we discuss all the reasons you should hire an interior designer and what to look for.   Reasons why you should hire an interior designer: Experience – they have experience in their field Connections – they have connections with contractors and other designers Sources – they have resources that not everyone has access to Money savings – in the long run they will save you time and money   What to look for in a designer: A good listener – a designer should be a good listener; listening to your needs & wants. If they don’t, move on. They’re a good communicator – they should be good at relaying or explaining process & procedures. Respected – ask around and make sure they are well respected in your community and do they come well recommended. They can create a style you love – be sure to look at some of their previous work and that you like their decorating style. The last thing you want is to use your hard earned money to end up with something that you hate or regret doing.   I always love having coffee and discussions with Heather!
