Idea regarding aluminum quenching
Hi, Had a potential idea that may or may not work. Could u machine the blade solid out of the bottom aluminum quench plate and a o ring grove around perimeter. Have a thicker possibly slightly taller o ring that would flatten/seal even with thickness variations (+,- tolerances). Then use the Venturi vacuum to pull the plates together therefore keeping blade flat? A warp at that point beyond ability of o rings seal would be apparent because u would lose the seal. Maybe stupid? Maybe not?
