“My problem with this and the other Wondery pods I’ve listened to are that they are all so overdone. The script is overwritten and too rehearsed, the sound effects are taken a little too far, the guy’s voice is too deep and like a cliched radio announcer (PS it really annoys me that this Business Wars story was written by a woman but read by this dopey male narrator rather than the author). I listen to podcasts all day long and the really good ones don’t need all this extra effort. It annoys me that Wondery clearly has resources and interesting stories at its disposal but chooses to make these cheesy productions.”
