Burst pipes have flooded thousands of homes, prompting state governor to ask plumbers from other states to come to Texas and help. So far around 70 deaths have been attributed to the cold wave. President Joe Biden has issued a major disaster declaration for 77 of the hardest-hit counties in the state.
