Description
The sixth episode of By The Book was dedicated to ""Não Somos Bandidos". A vida diária de uma guerrilha de direita: a Renamo na época do Acordo de Nkomati (1983-1985)", by Michel Cahen, published by Imprensa de Ciências Sociais in 2019. This is an innovative book regarding the history of Mozambique in the post-colonial period (during key years of the civil war) and challenging for historians due to the type of sources used. In it, we can learn more about the daily life of the National Resistance of Mozambique, RENAMO. Eric Morier Genoud was our guest reviewer and Pedro Aires Oliveira the host. Portuguese was the language of choice.
Production and editing was by Diana Barbosa. Funding was provided by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
This episode was recorded in November 2021.
Our podcast will be taking a break, while we prepare Season 2 of this project. Stay tuned for more books, more history, and more debate. See you very soon!
