“Excellent review of single variable calculus, covering some topics that we never even got to in my original calc 1 class many years ago. Especially loved the sections on trigonometric and logarithmic functions. I wish that I had Professor Gross teaching my calculus class. He uses the right balance of theory, proofs, and examples with both analytical and geometric explanations of each concept. I learned more about the hyperbolic functions in the first 10 minutes of that lecture than I had in 30+ years. Even though the course was created in 1970, it holds up perfectly as the concepts are timeless. I listened to 2 lectures a week as a real class might be. Bravo Professor Gross!”
