Superb
Excellent review of single variable calculus, covering some topics that we never even got to in my original calc 1 class many years ago. Especially loved the sections on trigonometric and logarithmic functions. I wish that I had Professor Gross teaching my calculus class. He uses the right balance of theory, proofs, and examples with both analytical and geometric explanations of each concept. I learned more about the hyperbolic functions in the first 10 minutes of that lecture than I had in 30+ years. Even though the course was created in 1970, it holds up perfectly as the concepts are timeless. I listened to 2 lectures a week as a real class might be. Bravo Professor Gross!

This course is so well done and presented by one of the best math teachers in the world. The professor's ability to simplify and explain math terms and notations is incredible. Even though in black and white and on an old chalkboard you just find yourself learning calc every step of the way....Read full review »
