Wow
I grew up in Queens, NYC in the 90’s. Wow, this podcast stirred up memories. I remember seeing Seen, Zephyr and Cope tagged. I used to ride the 7 train and Five Points was part of the view out the window. Five Points is no longer around, except in memory. Hearing the word “tag” reminded me of H.S. friends who used to tag the streets in bubble letters. I loved listening to the stories, views and insight through the voice of the graffiti artist. The artist recounted how he was manipulated & duped by the system are also the kinds of stories that deserve to be heard and seen- life is multi-dimensional. It’s important to remember and give homage to our childhood, our history. All of it has shaped who we’ve become. I’m looking forward to more episodes. Thank you.
