“I had high hopes for this podcast as a longtime Angels fan, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectation. (Just like the Angels each year.) Each episode the hosts joke about how poorly the organization is run, which is fair but simply talking about how bad the team is or how bad Arte is gets boring. Sam is a great journalist, and one of the reasons I was so excited about this podcast was because as a journalist that covers the team, he has the opportunity to add more to the conversation than a fan show can. In a recent episode, there was talk about how the Angels don’t have a pitching lab or hitting lab and joke about how behind they are. That is totally fair, but it would be interesting to know what they actually do have in place for hitters and pitchers.”
