Ep 19. A performers guide to confident & calm: Calm Mind Confident Life
Description
A performers guide on confident living with Rachel Perry
We had a little break last week as I was away hosting retreats but this week we are back with an epic chat with a women, whose joyful energy is infectious. I met Rachel many moon again during a yoga training and wasn't surprised to learn that her background was in performance.
Rachel talks about the importance of validating yourself, how she uses yoga to help ground her, why taking the observer role can help you manage negative behaviours. We also talk about what having ‘balance’ in life really means and whether having ‘purpose’ is more important…
Rachels top three (and a bit) tips:
Not listening to too many ‘how tos.’ Recognise what YOU need.
Positive self talk. Witness your narrative and try to slot in some positive self-talk
- Start a ritual or regular practise of something nourishing eg yoga / spiritual practise
Be aware of when boredom is creeping in and do something interesting or/and active like taking a walk
