Description
Originally from Miami, Florida, Melinda Fry has called St. Louis home for 38 years. Melinda started her career at FEDEX, and while a courier, she parlayed a deep desire to help others into returning to school, where she earned a graduate degree and professional counseling license. A healer in the community, she recently retired from counseling, where she helped clients understand and work through their personal stories. Today, Melinda continues to revere the listening to, and telling of, stories as a channel for deepening and healing one’s relationship with self and others. Campfire, and its storied gift of community, provides Melinda a perfect home in which to hone her skills as a storyteller. Moreover, Campfire provides Melinda an opportunity to collaborate with others as they think about, create, and give voice to their own stories. These episodes of Campfire at Home showcase students who went through our Advanced Storytelling Class during the Winter and Spring of 2021. These are students who take a 6-week class to prepare to tell a story about life and how they live it. This episodes was originally performed on April 14, 2021. Podcast produced by Jeff Allen and  recorded live via Zoom.
