Listen now
Description
In honor of the holiday season and us working on going back to add sound design to previous episodes, we have have decided to revisit and create a reimagining of our popular Pope Lick Monster episode. Story has been redone. New music. Added sound design. And, a better flow of the debrief. Enjoy! This week, we’re headed back to the North-Kentucky brush country where just 20 miles east of Louisville sits the small township of Pope Lick. Beneath the century-old Pope Lick Trestle Bridge, legend says that a maniacal monstrosity creeps through the underbrush waiting for the opportunity to lure its next victim with its siren song; straight into a head-on collision with an oncoming locomotive. With a body count nearing double digits, this goat man stands near the top of the cryptid catalog. Is this an aged sideshow performer consumed with bitterness? The unintentional result of some misguided attempt T gene splicing? or a diabolical entity stalking the Kentucky countryside? Either way, A TRAIN IS COMING! Campfire: Tales of the Strange and Unsettling is created for adult audiences only. The content and discussion in this show will necessarily engage with various accounts that include violence, anxiety, fear, and occasional body horror. Much of it will be emotionally and intellectually challenging to engage with. We will flag especially graphic or intense content so as to never put you in an uninformed or unprepared position. We will do our best to make this a space where we can engage bravely, empathetically, and thoughtfully with difficult content every week. This week’s episode includes the following sensitive content: Enclosed spaces Child endangerment Train collision Falling death Dark Village  https://a.co/d/c0A9BHo Support Campfire on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/campfiretalesofthestrangeandunsettling   Satisfy All of Your Merch Needs: https://www.teepublic.com/stores/campfire-tales-of-the-strange-and-unsettling?ref_id=25702   Join the conversation on social media at www.campfirepodcastnetwork.com    Discord:  https://discord.gg/43CPN3rz   Instagram: instagram.com/campfire.tales.podcast   GoodPods: https://goodpods.app.link/T0qvGnXnplb   Twitter: www.twitter.com/campfiretotsau    Facebook: www.facebook.com/campfire.tales.podcast   Visit Our Linktree for Any and All Campfire Info: https://linktr.ee/Campfirepodcast   Special Thanks:   Gregg Martin for music contributions!
