Question: I want to pursue CPA Canada so that I can immigrate to Canada afterwards? | Canada Career, Education, and Immigration
Listen now
Description
1) Immigration process, academics, and career are different independent things.  2) CPA Canada adds no value to your immigration process even though it is good for your career in Canada.  3) The exams can only be taken in Canada. You might have to go on a Temporary Visa i.e. a tourist visa to appear for your exams in case immigration doesn't work out. So, it involves a significant amount of investment in terms of time, money, and energy.   Pro Tip: Evaluate options that help you meet career, education, and immigration goals together since one aspect alone can turn out to be a bad investment from other aspects.    Alternatives: Completing ACCA/CPA USA or studying a course in Canada that helps you in CPA Canada.  Choose an option that works well in your circumstances and not what worked for Mr. N or Ms. X.    For any questions and queries, feel free to write to us at [email protected], and we will try to answer them One-By-One every Thursday.
