I entrusted my precious 8 month old dog into Natalie and Matt’s care for a board and train program at Canine Performance LLC after reading only 5 star reviews. Sadly my dog did not receive 5 star care or even reasonable care while under their supervision. My dog has a sensitive stomach and is on special food which I provided. They assured me that Murphy would be taken care of and treated like one of their own two dogs. Unfortunately that proved to be prophetic as one of their dogs died of a sudden, severe illness while my dog was there. Two days before I was to pick up Murphy, they called me to say that he had a swollen testicle and could not sit down and they were taking him to the vet. I agreed to the vet visit. According to the vet records, they told the vet Murphy had been having diarrhea for 2-3 days and vomited twice in his crate (no prior history of vomiting). I had received no notification of any health issues prior to the phone call regarding the vet visit. Several of the treating vets (5 visits to date) said that Murphy was left to lie in his own excrement for at least 1-3 days. He sustained a severe rash all over his butt, perineal area, mouth and paws. He was also limping. Murphy has required 5 vet visits so far including one overnight stay, skin laser treatments and shaving of the affected areas. I was advised by the initial emergency vet not to return my dog to Natalie and Matt’s care and that he could have died from their neglect. Their own dog, Aurora, became ill and died the day before they took Murphy to the vet. I learned about this from social media posts. They never asked me to come and get my dog during this time which I would have gladly done. Of course, Matt and Natalie are denying any neglect or wrongdoing but facts belie their assertions. My dog was injured while under their care and supervision. Training was received but at what cost: the health and well-being of my dog and vet bills of OVER a thousand dollars...all attributable to their neglect. Think twice before entrusting your dog to Natalie and Matt at Canine Performance. It is not worth the risk.
