Have You Herd About Your New Favorite Podcast?
Are you bored? Got 15-20 ish minutes where you need something to occupy your mind? Love animals? Well lemme tell ya…I have quite the recommendation for you. I listened to a sweet little startup podcast by the name of “Have You Herd About Animals?” today and was pleasantly indulged. Tyler and his friend Sam (Tyler please tag her if you feel so inclined) started this podcast in January 2022 with nothing more than the goal of sharing their love for animals. Every 10-20 minute episode covers a different animal they find interesting and share with you a variety of well researched information that really holds your attention. They dive into fun interesting facts, give some backstory on why the different animals behave the way that they do, provide details on the different impacts that each animal has on the environment, as well as providing some great resources for you to look into if you want to do any exploration on these animals yourself. They’ve come a long way in just the small amount of time they’ve been doing the podcast and it really shows. You can tell they take advice and criticism from those willing to give it to improve the listening experience with each new episode. They are still new to the game, so forgive them as they work hard to get into the groove of their podcast. With time, I can only see this endeavor of theirs gaining some real traction and building a healthy fan-base. Having listened to “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend”, I would like to draw attention to some of the likenesses of the chemistry that Conan O’Brien/Sona Movsesian/Matt Gourley have on their show, to the pizazz that Tyler/Sam bring to the table. They work well together, have a lot of fun while bantering back and forth, and have some genuinely fascinating conversations. They really make it feel like you’re there with them, casually chatting about animals. Did I mention that it’s family friendly?!? That’s right! They work extremely hard to make sure it is a fun welcoming environment for listeners of all ages! To sum it all up, this is a really neat, fun, quirky and exciting listening experience that you should definitely make the time for. I look forward to seeing how this podcast progresses with each new episode and will definitely be keeping this in the rotation from now on. Tyler/Sam, I wish you guys well on this journey and hope you’re having just as much fun making it, as I am listening to it. Good luck and keep up the fantastic work. Love you, bye. - Dru Inman (amateur podcast critic apparently)
