Description
Native Americans on remote reservations won improved access to the ballot box due in part to the work of a team of researchers from Claremont Graduate University. Jean Schroedel, a professor in CGU’s Division of Politics and Economics and a leading expert on Native American voter suppression, lead a team of students to South Dakota and Nevada to gather data that was later used by Native American rights organization Four Directions in a legal struggle to place early voting stations on reservations.
