“Steve, CA Episode 77 is the best *bleep* episode of any *bleep* science podcast in the history of the *bleep*ing podverse ever recoded, broadcast, or even *bleep*ing imaginable. As a humble and faithful listener to such odd things, I’ve been waiting what seems like donks years for some cogent exposition on anything that might elucidate the *bleep*ing hugely unacceptable observations that more distant objects recede more rapidly than less distant objects, as space seems to spontaneously expand in all directions simultaneously, and that though the extremes of this are aeons ago, as well as right between my fingers, and far, far away, and though space is expanding so super-nonlinearly with distance that “soon” we will not be able to see our nearest neighbor stars, because once they accelerate through c relative to an earth observer, POOF. Space goes dark, like forever. I need a rational discussion of this monstrous phenomenon, please, if you could be so kind.
Conversely, we seem to have ample talking points for the Big Bang Theory. If one can extrapolate backwards in time to a big bang, where everything in the universe was at or near a point, giving observation-based rationale, theorem, math, modifications, alternative explanations, incorporate standard candles, the 3 Kelvin background radiation, and myriad other facts, guesses, lies, shrugs, etc. then PLEASE, can someone, (for the speeding up of our entropic cosmological drawing and quartering of the universe) do better than “I dunno, Dark Something, or we are all inside a Black Hole, maybe?”. I mean, horse *bleep*! Come on! Give us some paths, some possibilities like mistaken calculation or observation, or time behaved differently way back then, or infinite lensing, or its the forensic footprint of early inflation, or for *bleep* sake make something up! It seems so unsatisfying, ya know? Anywho, see what you can do, let me know if I can help.
