Loving the Content
I have been watching Northernlion content for around 3-5 years and have always loved his wit and humor as well as the grasp on reality even though he decries he fact that he works a job that he didn’t feel was a real one. I always loved the CKII videos he mentioned, not necessarily for the CKII content, but because of the relationships between him, Mathas, MALF, Baer, and other friends of the show. I started watching Northernlion from watching Quill18 videos, way back in the day and have enjoyed watching the growth of the channel and the depth of the content, even if it was 6000 Isaac episodes the content was always engaging and really helped to alleviate stress, decompress and entertain. From those early days, I always enjoyed Northernlion individually, but seeing the early days of the collaborative gaming with the NLSS and then the hilarity of Team Unity Tuesday’s I always felt like I was a part of that brotherhood even if I just got to listen to the conversations of MALF, NL, Dan and Apollo (formerly known as LastGreyWolf). Listening to that whole group get to play games (PUBG, Siege, etc.) and stream and create content, didn’t even really make me want to play games, but to have a community of people I could play games with and just not feel weird for wanting to play games and have the shared interest of gaming and online community. One of my favorite additions to the TUTY squad was Dan and the levity, insanity and infectious joy he brought to the table. As frustrating as watching some of the content could be (see the NHL 2018 Spring Training lost episodes) Dan’s unending well of happiness and good vibes mixed with one of the most infectious laughs always brought that needed breath of fresh air. I know how much NL hates the gushing or the clap on the back Hug-fest type stuff, but man am I thankful for this podcast and you two as streamers and content creators and even the whole TUTY squad, Kate, Ryuka and Tomo. Because of the work you all have put in over the last years I have been able to experience a significant amount of binging joy, laughter and longing for that community you have created. I have acquired mannerisms from listening to hours of NLSS and northernlion content that no one I know understands, but I’ll double down and use the NL “Ryuuukaaa” voice all day cause it makes me laugh. I can’t even begin to describe how much fun and laughter I have gotten from you alls content. This insight into the inside baseball of streaming gives me hope that I can start creating content again and what better time than Right now. I had a channel with 14 followers 3 years ago, but nothing felt better than having someone come back and be in chat day after day, and remember who you were, but also to trust you with the sort of stuff that they would share so readily in chat, trusting you because you provide some sort of solace. All that to say I am thankful for NL and Dan Gheesling and live the podcast and it’s direction. Keep up the great work boys and stay frosty.

Most listenable guys I’ve ever heard. They could talk about egg salad I’d still listen in every week.
