In each class they have listened to and written a straight news story after listening to BREAKING NEWS! They had to take notes, analyze the info, and write a clear, concise story specifically targeting their audience: their Houston Latino community. This podcast is so amazingly perfect: podcast reporting, deep, historic research on Houston East End amalgamated in riveting storytelling, using emotion regarding the human connection of violence, loss of a child and community revulsion, connecting George Floyd, BLM and police brutality on people of color. Today, Houston has a Hispanic police chief and Harris County has a Hispanic Sheriff!”
