And speaking about favourite athletes, today’s guest is right at the top of our list. Outgoing Melbourne Storm player Nicho Hynes has had a breakout year in 2021 in many ways. Not only has his performance on the field drawn the attention of many, but his strength and bravery in sharing his mental health journey publicly to raise awareness and normalise seeking help, has seen him rise as a prominent and important voice in rugby league. Today we reflect with Nicho on what 2021 has been like for him and look forward to 2022 when he will be joining the Cronulla Sharks (much to the joy of us shire based Silva’s and to the sadness of our Melbournian G Moore). Nicho is someone dedicated to using his platform to helping people and he truly blew us away with how dedicated he is to doing just that - if you already love Nicho, like so many of us do, be prepared to love him even more after hearing this conversation!
