“I am not a China apologist; I am someone looking to continue to get better informed. I find the hosts lazy. The female host often gives examples, evidence and data to support what she says. The male hosts often cut her off or change the subject while she is thinking after they have asked a question. The male hosts often make unsubstantiated statements. Why refer to a past guest as “that guy from“? Shouldn’t the listener hear his name? If the communist party truly doesn’t like divorce and fines it makes it harder to control the populace, where is the evidence — even anecdotal? The show could be more information rich and therefore much more powerful if the hosts did more homework. The two male hosts often refer to incidents in global terms and then rely on the female host to provide the date, the specifics, or a correction about what actually happened. Maybe they aren’t really that useful to the show in that case. This could be a much more important offering with a little more preparation and listening to one another among the hosts”
