“Hi Cindy. Absolutely love your show. I work in the area of Chinese business immigration. So for the last 20 years, I have been surrounded by Chinese culture in the office and at home.
There are so many topics to cover but two I would love to hear more about. First is the changing marriage practices in China. It is a combination of old per 1949 custom combined with the rise of middle class wealth. It is complicated by the shortage of young women, the rise in beauty standards, and the increasing role of parents in the whole process.
The second topic is the abandonment of HK democracy movement by large corporations. All of them have given up any pretence of supporting democracy and have remained silent or even supported the National Security Law. We had assumed these companies would have been braver.
