Silicon Roundabout is not Tech
Just Listened to the Ada Lovelace podcast and was shocked that they used a bunch of CEOs and bloggers to represent women in science. Running a successful dot com is difficult and is quite an achievement but, it does not make you a computer scientist. These women complain that there isn't enough women in tech and then admit that they never managed to get past a bit of HTML. I am a programmer and have many female colleagues some senior to me who would be insulted that a business woman who doesn't even share there skillset is on a podcast representing them. We're these women chosen just because its seen to be cool to be involved in the shoreditch startup culture? I'm sure the Guardian could find much better role models to represent women who actually work with science and tech in a more hands on manor than this. Please stop pandering to the shoreditch design crowd it is NOT a tech hub it is a design hub.
