“The fact that they just released an episode yesterday with no consideration of the impact of Ashley’s situation, and it’s impact on their audience, is so disappointing. Hearing the audio of Ashley from that comedy show is horrific and chilling. As someone who suffers from major depression, hearing something like that from someone I look up to could have serious consequences. You can’t gaslight your audience by telling us “we just dont know comedy” and “queer people just dont watch comedy”. We do, you’re not a comic, you’re a bully. I’ve been such a huge fan of Alayna for so many years and the fact that she is also trying to sweep this under the rug (while studying to be a therapist at that) is just so disheartening. I don’t know what else to say, it’s just all really sad.”
