Listen now
Description
The first of many podcasts where we talk about mental health. Given that it's such a huge topic, in this podcast, we talk about the importance of: normalising conversations about mental health, acknowledging and accepting mental health issues regardless of how big or small it may be, and finally supporting people who have the courage to acknowledge their mental health issues.  Noorain holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in psychology and is working towards a PhD in the future. She works with a mental health helpline, has held numerous free counselling sessions in India that caters to troubled teenagers, and constantly promotes mental health awareness. She addresses different techniques that can be used to cope with mental health issues on different scales, and how people can help themselves if they can't get help to deal with their issues externally. Some key techniques discussed in the podcast were: Self writing, Journalling, and Assertiveness training.  If you're based in India, and want to empower yourself and are seeking some help to deal with any mental health issues, call the organisation.
