Unfounded sensationalism for the sake of pandering click-bait
I mostly agree with their message, but their delivery and response to criticism needs a lot of work. Example… Do too many pastors preach pre-written sermons? Absolutely. Do most? I highly doubt it, and Church Disrupted made this bold claim without giving any data to back it up. Then their response to criticism was oddly contradictory and filled with immaturity. Deflecting by saying listeners are missing the point by focusing on one word, to poorly defending it by giving Sermon Central website statistics that in no way prove anything. Which is it? Did you mean what you said or not? They said it, then chose to highlight it out of context on social media, then played the victim. They’ll never convince anyone to “join their team” like that. Let your yes be yes, and your no be no. Their choice of words harms the usually good message they have.
