“I have never written a podcast review before, but felt compelled to do so here because this podcast is incredibly well-informed, intelligent, well-researched, entertaining, and discusses a wide array of films from different time periods and genres. However, Thomas (I think it’s Thomas) - and I say this respectfully - has a very annoying verbal tic of saying “is the thing” after almost every sentence, it feels like. This really gets in the way of my enjoyment of the show (and maybe that says more about me than about anyone else). For whatever my opinion is worth, I think this would be a 5-star podcast without “is the thing” plaguing every episode. I will continue to listen, I just have to split the episodes up across several days because whenever I reach my limit of “is the thing” I turn it off. My review is well-intentioned and left in the hopes of being received as equal parts praise and constructive feedback.”
