Mehdi Jahan is a writer/director of Assamese origin who began as a cinematographer for a PSBT produced documentary 'The F Word'. He has also written and directed a short film 'Jyoti and Joymoti' and taught Film Studies/Film Appreciation at the Assam Institute of Mass Communication and Media Research. In this episode, he talks about regional cinema in India as well as the representation of the North-East in films. Nishtha and Priya discuss book to movie adaptations in the first segment.
