In this week's episode, we sit down with Indiana High School Football Hall of Fame head coach George Gilbert to talk about things he has learned throughout his career. In this episode, we talk about how he got his start in coaching, some of the biggest challenges he's faced, and the most important lessons he's learned. George Gilbert was a high school football for 41 years. He is currently ranked 41 st in wins all-time in Indiana football. Took over a team that went 0-10 his first year and won a state championship with that program. Coach Gilbert has won numerous coaching awards, including:
Colts Indiana Coach of the Year
Don Shula NFL Coach of the Year Finalist
Griddy Indiana Coach of the Year
Honorary Colt: 2022
Also joining us in today's episode is Jeremy Fendley (our guest in Season 2 Episode 3), who served in the Marines for 5 years, the Army for 16 years, spent 60 months in combat, and won 3 bronze stars. Jeremy played for Coach Gilbert and joined us to provide some insight as a former player for Coach Gilbert.
