I love this show.
I had heard of this show through other podcasts and soon became a listener. I’ve listened to all of their episodes and I thoroughly enjoy them. I think the topics they pick are thought provoking and that the hosts contribute with wit and intelligence. Now here is why I only rated it three stars. While they do pick great topics, the main host (Joey) seems to have trouble making it an “Open discussion” and facilitating a dialogue without his personal bias. There are many ideas and thoughts that all can contribute and, while he does let them speak, he seems to argue with them and try to unknowingly convince them to align their thoughts with his. In some episodes, it sounds like he’s down right antagonizing or brow beating them and making it emotional and personal. This slight judgmental attitude is a turn-off, but it doesn’t deter me from enjoying the show and coming back for every update.
