Great teaching techniques and endearing hosts
I have tried different Mandarin learning podcasts and I thought this one is very well done. The podcasts are well-paced, just long enough to get somewhere, but not too long that it becomes a time sink. I like the back and forth between the hosts. Crystal is… pardon the pun, crystal clear, and Mark is endearing and relatable. The Glasgwegian accent makes it all the more appealing! The episodes set in China were tremendous: it raised the challenge and gave learners the closest experience they can get to a real-life language encounter. It’s a shame that there’s just one season! 太可惜了!

More reviews of Coffee Break Chinese
A very useful resource for anyone learning Chinese. I especially like the emphasis on correct tones, and the scenarios. I have been learning for 4 years and have started listening from episode 10, I'm looking forward to the rest of the episodes.Read full review »

Useful everyday language that you can use...Read full review »
