A dream podcast for National fans
A great deep dive into an album that has meant so much to so many people. The thoughtful and considered reflections from the hosts - peppered with insight from band members and collaborators - opened up this album a lot for me, and helped me appreciate Berninger’s lyrics on a deeper level. Contributions from Aaron Dessner lift the lid on some of the compositional aspects of Boxer, and it would be interesting to hear more analysis of the music as well as the lyrics in future episodes. Thank you for making this and for supporting the band.

Love the insights from the band but the overly literal dissection of every single line of every song gets pretty tiresome
