The older episodes, which were professionally produced for TV and hosted by Bill Kurtis are great. The other two hosts, however, leave a lot to be desired. Brooke was the original replacement for Bill Kurtis, then there was another host briefly, then Brooke again. Both of the replacement hosts aren’t really worth listening to in my opinion. In particular, Brooke, who is a social worker without any type of background as a psychiatrist or psychologist or whatever, really expresses her personal opinions about the subpar mental health system in the US and even goes into deep dives on racial injustice and a myriad of topics that aren’t necessarily germane to the case that is being covered. She is obviously entitled to her personal opinion, but if she is representing A&E, then they need to rein her in. If she wants to host her own podcast to express her opinion like every other jamoke out there, then she should do that. However, for the A&E podcast, she needs to refrain from trying to make it the Brooke Show. I was following this show for several years, but I’ve now unfollowed it due to poor replacement podcasts and because the β€œI Survived” episodes are trash

Mono toned host, boring story full of fillers and tv ads. Glorified promotion for the tv show

Research is OK but not much color or originality.
