S5#49 🇺🇸🇬🇧 "EKKO project, ZAC Bastide Niel in Bordeaux" with Duncan Lewis
Listen now
Description
In his EKKO project for Groupe Launay (MOA), architect Duncan Lewis wanted to extend the traditional communal garden at the foot of the building into a 3-dimensional green space, protecting balconies and facades from the street. A balance between vegetation, shading and access to light ensures the privacy of these spaces. Vegetation grows both on the ground and above, thanks to suspended planters. The volume, delimited by a light metal structure, is highlighted by climbing plants that create a planted setting. To be discovered in this issue by its architect.
