If you'd like to support the podcast and all the work that I do then you can! Just head on over to patreon.com/comealongfortheridepodcast and sign up. From as little as a cup of coffee a month, you can help me keep this podcast going. There are many tiers that you can choose from and if everyone who listens gave only $5 per month, it would make a massive positive difference to me. There is a tier in there for a small business subscription just like the one Peter Papp took up from Peter and the Herd, this is the one where your business gets a mention each week on the podcast. Peter works with equine behaviour and trauma recovery. Equine communication. Human and horse relationship building. Peter has had communication with my mare Gypsy, who is the mare with me in the podcast picture and he was spot on about everything so I can highly recommend his work personally. Click here to connect with Peter and the Herd. I'd like to give a shout out to 2 new patreon subscribers Kerrie Ellery and Lisa Mills, thank you both so much for taking action and supporting me in this podcast. In this episode I spoke with Franklin Levinson. It's a real privilege to speak with someone who has given so much to the gentle training of horses for so many years. Franklin as a boy found himself always seeking peace due to loudness in his life. This is how he came to connect with horses so well. He saw in them what he was looking for himself. He does not believe in bad horses, he also believes horses are always right. Franklin says horses when they react to something are in a state of fear, not disrespect, and you can be a great horseperson when you are able to realise that the horse is simply a peace seeker. So instead of punishing a horse or correcting a horse what you can do is lead the horse to a place within themselves of safety and peace. This is a beautiful conversation with a beautiful man and I hope you get as much out of it as I did.
