“I’m from Chicago.
And a recent convert to the church. So I’m still a little rough around the edges and it’s still hard for me to relate to other Latter Day Saints sometimes. But I love the gospel and I love the scriptures with all my heart. So when I went looking for an inspirational podcast to fill the time between new episodes of “This is the gospel” and “All In” this one popped up first. Could it be?! A podcast about the very thing we’re doing right now at home?! I jumped right in, and was a little disillusioned because I didn’t think I could listen to 40 minutes of this quirky, rambling lady that cried a million times a minute ( see I exaggerate 😀). Needless to say I listened to 4 1/2 episodes in one day. And by the last one I was crying everytime she was and even laughing . My point to all this was- although she’s different, quirky, silly, vulnerable that’s what makes this podcast work. I’m going to go thru the rest of the podcast before the day is over and then be waiting anxiously for the next one. Melanie’s love of the Savior and the gospel shines thru 100%. She is real, honest vulnerable and BRAVE. Melanie has put it all out there for us and I’m grateful for that. Thank you for your example to all of us, thank you for sharing your strong testimony, thank you for being consistent thru everything you are going thru right now in your life. Let’s not forget that Melanie is going thru one of the hardest things we can experience but yet is in her closet every Sunday at 10pm 😉 encouraging and uplifting US!! You are a strong, wonderful woman. And the Lord has and will continue to bless your faithfulness. I’m looking forward to watching my own testimony grow because of this.”
