Description
Is God testing me? Why does God tell Abraham to kill Isaac? Chris and David are currently off recording Season 3, the book of Acts. In the meantime, we'll be uploading a  few of Chris's sermons. Today's sermon explores the story of Abraham and Isaac (Genisis 22), Abraham's faith in God and the foreshadowing of Jesus at Calvary.  "By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son,  even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death." - Hebrews 11:17-19 (NIV) If you want to support further podcasts, please consider supporting me on Patreon!
