Sometimes it feels like, the impossible.
Hello fellas. I’m a full time low voltage electrician who mainly works In Manhattan, a father of two amazing girls and a husband to a beautiful blond. My day starts at 3-3:30 every morning including weekends. I begin my day with an hour at the gym, then a drive into work, depending on the commute could be 1hr and 15, I park and get in about 1hr and 30 to 2 hrs of comic art time. Then at 6:45 my full time job starts, driving home could be 2hrs 30min to 3hrs. Get home, have dinner with the girls, shower and rinse wash repeat the next work day. On The weekends I don’t go in because my wife works and I watch the girls, so I get about 3-4 hrs Saturday and 5-6 hrs on Sunday of Art time. I will never give up my routine because it has been working for the last 5 years when I started the early bird special start time, but oh man, creating and maintaining this lifestyle some times feels like such an impossible task. But I have gotten comic work and self published my own books. But the satisfaction of creator own and running your own projects are the greatest feeling ever. But at times it does seem like a mission impossible, but I refuse to ever give up. You guys have been a fun part of my mornings every week, your mindful and positive focus needed to maintain a great work ethic, has been a great motivator on understanding this industry we know as storytellers. Much appreciated, M. Zapata You can Also find my work @m_zapata_art on Instagram.

Not only is this podcast incredibly informative for any self-employed creative, but these two guys have so much humor, charm, and whit to them that I could listen to them talk about a bar of soap for an hour (and I wouldn’t put it past them). Every episode is excellent.

Cartooning in 2018 is a hard gig and everyone knows it, but this podcast is not the place to come for real answers. If you enjoy Brad and Dave bantering, then that's great. This can be an excellent place for that, but with the exception of some of the guests, this podcast is very sparse on...Read full review »

This is honestly one of the best podcasts about working on comics around. The chemistry between both Brad and Dave is both inviting and makes you laugh along with them. They hit upon many subjects and try hard to cover what they know in each episode to help everyone along, well worth the time...Read full review »
